LumenFlow's High-Efficiency Optical Coupler can increase the amount of usable light emitted from LEDs by up to 30%. When configured as a scintillator the increase can be up to 55%.

LEDs emit light at all angles from their surface plane, but the lenses currently used for lighting applications can only convert the light emitting at angles greater than 30 degrees from the plane of the LED into usable light. LumenFlow's HEOC converts essentially all the light emitted from an LED into usable light, signicantly increasing the LED's efficiency as a light source.

The HEOC Scintillator is a two-piece co-molded assembly that can increase the amount of light emitted from an LED light fixture by up to 55% or decrease the amount of electricity required for an equal amount of light by up to 55%, all while reducing the manufactured cost of the light fixture.
